Dog eats weapon in sausage attack
A BURGLAR who broke into the home of two sleeping men rubbed spices over the body of one and hit the other with 20cm sausage.
In what police in the US city of Fresno called one of the most bizarre cases they had come across, the burglar threw away the assault weapon as he fled and a dog ate it, the Fresno Bee newspaper reported.
Fresno County police officer Lieutenant Ian Burrimond said the suspect was found hiding in a field a few minutes later.
Deputies had no problem linking the suspect to the crime, he told the paper.
“It seems the guy ran out of the house wearing only a T-shirt, boxer shorts and socks, leaving behind his wallet with his ID,” Lt Burrimond said.
